I am a British-Canadian writer, teacher and communicator living in Liverpool, England.
I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and was brought up mainly in Liverpool. I studied to get a theology degree and returned to BC to pastor for a couple of years before returning to the UK in 2003.
During that time I steadily broke away from my Pentecostal, fundamentalist roots. I was confirmed an Anglican on my return to England, and am now theologically and socially liberal, and openly gay. I am actively involved in my local parish church.
Since returning to England I have taught secondary Religious Education and am now working as a writer and researcher.
